We start with 100% pure maple syrup, heat it to remove more water, cooled and then stirred to cream it. The result is a rich, buttery textured maple spread that goes great on anything. Try it on toast, warm biscuits, pound cake, ice cream, or as a pastry filling. One of our favorite uses is on a cracker, then add a tart apple or sharp cheddar cheese. You might want to stock up; our maple cream never seems to last long when there are hungry mouths around.
Maple Cream is also known as “Maple Butter” but does not contain butter or dairy. So when asking make sure that you know you want the one made with 100% pure maple syrup. Keep refrigerated, it may separate but all you do is stir to blend.
Want to stock up? Maple Cream can be kept in the freezer for months. Just take out a day before you need it.
